Last year at this time we were deep into H1N1. Thankfully once it went away we never really saw the regular flu. No one wants a repeat of last year again..
What can you do to prevent the flu? Of course wash your hands, especially when you are sick. But the most important thing you can do to prevent getting sick is get your shot! The flu shot does not cause the flu. There is no thimerisol in the injectable flu vaccine. It is well tolerated and there is no reason you shouldn't get one!
So go get your flu shot.. Or else when you get the flu in a couple of months your health care provider is going to be thinking I told you so....
