How do I feed baby food to two babies at the same time??

I remember being totally overwhelmed at the thought of giving baby food to two babies at the same time.

It takes a little practice but this is what I did:

If you have a helper:
Put both babies in chairs next to each other. One spoon and one bowl to one baby. Keep them arms reach away from each other so they can't grab each other's spoon and bowl.
Never loose control of the bowl or else you will find it quickly on the floor.

If you have to do it alone:
Put both babies in chairs next to each other. One spoon and one bowl. Alternate spoonfuls to each baby. Twins share everything anyway and unless one is sick there is no reason why they can't share the same spoon.
If you use two bowls you are going to have to set one down and there is a good chance that a little helper will knock the bowl onto the floor.
Of course, if you are going to feed both twins with the same bowl you will need more food than you would with one. Also keep track if one baby has an allergy or doesn't like the food as much. It's important to make sure one baby doesn't eat the entire bowl.

Feel free to share your tips!

I think that's it for infant feeding. Anyone have any questions??

  1. Our little one picked up on self-feeding right away. Speghetti Squash was a winner because it felt funny in his hand and mouth. Plus, it was soft so he couldn't choke on it.
