How do I know someone is having a stroke?

Here's a good question:
How do I know someonne might be having a stroke?

The signs of stroke can be subtle. They may include
  • sudden confusion
  • sudden weakness of one side of the body
  • sudden facial droop
  • inability to speak
  • sudden severe headache
People of any age can have a stroke. If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, it is important to get to a hospital right away. There are medications that can be given to treat stroke symptoms but they must be given within 3 hours of symptom onset.
